Compliance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to ensure our operations meet all applicable regulatory requirements. The role involves safeguarding the organization against financial crime and maintaining up‑to‑date compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct due‑diligence checks during client onboarding (individuals and entities) to verify compliance.
• Monitor transactions, investigate suspicious activities and generate appropriate reports.
• Review legal documents of partners and issuing clients, applying enhanced due‑diligence when required.
• Update internal policies in line with new laws, circulars and regulatory guidance.
• Respond to audit requests and support audit missions.
• Submit regulatory reports to the Central Bank of Lebanon (BDL) and the Banking Control Commission (BCCL) within set deadlines.
• Assess and mitigate compliance risks associated with new products or features.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Compliance certification such as CAMS is a plus.
• Minimum three years of experience in compliance, AML or related fields.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
• Familiarity with Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) procedures.
• Understanding of GDPR and related data‑protection requirements.
