Commercial Manager – Africa Operations

About the role

Editec is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead its African retail and operations network. Working closely with the Business Development team in London and local operation and finance managers, you will drive sales performance, manage agents and retail staff, and support the expansion of both offline and online gaming products.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales data for each retail outlet and provide actionable recommendations to boost revenue.
• Design and implement performance‑related pay models for agents, taking into account local income levels and competitor pricing.
• Ensure accurate and timely cash collection and accounting across all retail locations.
• Map territories, expand the retail network through new agents, stores or franchise agreements.
• Maintain company standards in retail, marketing and customer service.
• Organise secure payments for lottery winnings, especially high‑value payouts.
• Prepare OPEX and investment budgets, conduct cash‑flow analysis and manage P&L responsibilities.
• Support the Operations Manager in planning targeted marketing campaigns and conducting market research.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial management within retail, gaming or related sectors.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of improving sales performance.
• Ability to work in a fast‑growing, multicultural environment and travel across multiple African countries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
