Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our information security and cybersecurity function as we build and scale a digital payments ecosystem. In fintech, trust and security are fundamental.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the information security and cybersecurity strategy.
• Establish security policies, standards, procedures and governance frameworks, including an ISMS.
• Lead risk assessments, maintain the security risk register and implement controls for e‑wallets, mobile apps, APIs, infrastructure and internal systems.
• Define identity and access management, privileged access and authentication controls.
• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing and security assessments.
• Establish incident response procedures and coordinate cybersecurity incident management.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to embed security into infrastructure and software development.
• Review third‑party providers from an information security perspective and ensure security monitoring, logging and escalation.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning from a cybersecurity perspective.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security, preferably in banking, fintech or payments.
• Strong knowledge of information security governance, risk management and regulatory environments.
• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership capabilities.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
