Business Development Manager – Insurance

About the role

Compare 360, part of Chedid Capital Group, is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead its Business Development team. The role focuses on driving customer acquisition, sales conversion and achieving defined business targets across the insurance portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day activities of the Business Development team to meet sales and conversion goals.
• Oversee lead allocation, follow‑up and conversion, ensuring timely customer contact.
• Monitor individual and team performance against KPIs, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Guide the team in assessing customers’ insurance needs and recommending suitable solutions.
• Handle complex, high‑value or escalated customer cases in collaboration with internal departments.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, sales activities and customer interactions.
• Drive lead‑generation through cold calling, referrals, cross‑selling and approved sales channels.
• Coach and develop team members, providing regular feedback to improve sales capabilities.
• Coordinate with the Compare 360 sales team and other functions to resolve operational issues and support business objectives.
• Prepare regular reports on sales activity, conversion, retention and team performance, delivering insights to management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within the insurance sector.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Ability to analyse performance data and implement improvement actions.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving capabilities.
