BIM Architect – Lighting Design Specialist

About the role

The BIM Architect will lead the development and coordination of lighting design within BIM models across all project phases. Working closely with sales, design and engineering teams, you will translate lighting concepts into detailed BIM outputs, technical drawings and construction documentation that meet project requirements and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and develop integrated interior and exterior architectural lighting solutions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support every design stage—from concept through schematic, design development and execution documentation.
• Participate in conceptual workshops, contributing to visual intent, technical feasibility and lighting calculations.
• Create complete design packages including drawings, schedules, specifications and BIM models aligned with architectural, electrical and landscape disciplines.
• Produce wiring diagrams, connection details, installation drawings and underground cabling sections for installation teams.
• Resolve time‑sensitive coordination issues to prevent project delays.
• Document all design services, including lighting layouts, specifications, calculations and revisions.
• Assist in value‑engineering studies while preserving design intent and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in architectural lighting design and BIM‑based project delivery.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
