Benefits Accountant (Beirut)

About the role

The Finance Operations Department is seeking a Benefits Accountant to join the Payroll & Employee Financial Services Office on the Beirut campus. Reporting to the Employee Financial Services Manager, you will oversee the financial administration of employee benefit programs for both teaching and non‑teaching staff.

Key responsibilities

• Process, validate and reconcile daily benefit transactions, deductions, reimbursements and related accounting entries.
• Monitor employee eligibility and coordinate benefit‑related changes with Human Resources.
• Ensure timely processing of benefit invoices, claims and provider payments.
• Support month‑end and year‑end reconciliation of benefit‑related payroll transactions.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in benefit deductions.
• Prepare periodic reconciliations, reports and financial schedules for audits and management.
• Maintain accurate benefit data in ERP and payroll systems and uphold strong internal controls.
• Participate in process‑enhancement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience in employee benefits administration and payroll‑related financial processing.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with HR, finance and external administrators.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements for employee benefits.
