Backend Developer – Full‑time Onsite

About the role

Sowlutions, a tech accelerator that builds products for early‑stage startups, is looking for a Backend Developer to join its onsite team in Zouk Mosbeh. You will work closely with founders and the front‑end team to deliver scalable, high‑performance APIs and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement database models and relationships.
• Create clean, well‑documented RESTful APIs.
• Write object‑oriented, performant, and maintainable code.
• Integrate rapidly with third‑party services and APIs.
• Benchmark, profile, and optimise code and database performance.
• Produce flowcharts and algorithmic designs for complex problems.
• Develop unit, integration, and stress tests.
• Deploy applications, manage staging environments, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Document code, system architecture, and workflows.
• Mentor and coach junior developers.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of web security and OOP principles.
• Experience with performance testing, benchmarking, and optimisation.
• Ability to visualise solutions with flowcharts and diagrams.
• Comfortable with server management, deployment, and CI/CD processes.
• Proven communication and collaboration skills.
