About the role
The Awards Management Coordinator supports the Awards Manager in overseeing humanitarian and development awards from inception to closeout. Working across programme, operations, finance and quality teams, the role ensures that Save the Children meets all internal and donor‑related award obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and review donor reports, ensuring timely submission and compliance with donor requirements.
- Maintain data quality in the Award Management System and support financial and narrative reporting.
- Build relationships with country offices, partners and global teams to resolve issues and facilitate capacity‑building trainings on donor compliance.
- Communicate directly with in‑country donors (UNICEF, ECHO, BMZ, etc.) on agreements, amendments, reporting dates and close‑out procedures.
- Support the development of high‑quality reports through planning and coordination with Operations, MEAL, PDQ and Finance.
- Assist in the management of humanitarian fund awards and respond to emergencies with flexible working hours.
Required profile
- Experience in award, grant or donor‑fund management within the humanitarian or development sector.
- Strong understanding of financial and narrative reporting requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and with external donors.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours during major emergencies.
- Level 3 child safeguarding clearance, with regular contact with children or young people.
