About the role
The Associate Collection Specialist ensures a smooth onboarding experience for new merchants using our Collection service. You will coordinate end‑to‑end setup, verify documentation, and work closely with internal and external partners to guarantee operational readiness from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate merchant onboarding activities, including intake, requirements gathering, setup, testing, and go‑live.
- Collect, validate, and maintain onboarding documents and data for completeness and accuracy.
- Liaise with Sales, Operations, Compliance, Risk, IT and other stakeholders to resolve dependencies.
- Support configuration and integration steps such as channel setup, settlement details, and reporting needs.
- Track onboarding progress, update status reports, and follow up on pending actions.
- Communicate timelines and requirements to merchants, providing guidance during activation.
- Assist with early‑life issue triage and escalate incidents as needed.
- Maintain organized records and ensure adherence to service standards and SLAs.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, MIS or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in onboarding, operations, collections services, merchant support, or a similar banking/financial function.
- Strong coordination, follow‑up, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple onboarding cases in parallel and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer‑oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with basic compliance requirements and documentation standards is a plus.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with internal onboarding, CRM or workflow systems.
- Basic understanding of merchant integration concepts (file formats, settlement accounts, reporting).
- Ability to use ticketing tools and manage SLA‑based operations.
