Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Medical Imaging Sciences

About the role

The Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut seeks a tenure‑track professor (assistant, associate or full) for its Medical Imaging Sciences program. The position involves teaching undergraduate courses, supervising laboratory work, and contributing to research and service activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver didactic and laboratory instruction in medical imaging physics, anatomy, radiographic pathology and related disciplines.
• Guide students through hands‑on clinical training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.
• Develop and maintain an active research agenda, seeking external funding and publishing scholarly work.

Required profile

• PhD in Medical Imaging Sciences or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas such as radiobiology, computed tomography, ultrasound, radiographic pathology, radiation therapy or nuclear imaging.
• Clinical teaching experience in medical imaging; radiographer experience is preferred.
• Evidence of research productivity and involvement with professional associations.
