Area Sales Manager – FMCG (Beirut)

About the role

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will act as the company’s ambassador across West Beirut, Hamra, Choueifat, Dahiye and surrounding districts. The ASM is responsible for achieving sales, coverage and collection targets while leading and developing a local sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Grow sales with existing customers and recruit new accounts across all business segments.
• Set volume and value targets for sales representatives and monitor daily progress.
• Conduct regular market visits, dashboard meetings and field‑work reports.
• Analyse competitive activity and provide timely feedback to the National Sales Manager.
• Improve merchandising, displays and product placement in the field.
• Resolve customer issues, manage credit limits and support collections.
• Perform routing plan reviews and optimise customer coverage.
• Lead performance appraisals for sales representatives and the Area Sales Supervisor.
• Provide product knowledge training and ensure the team is equipped and motivated.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 3‑4 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing teams.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Lebanese down‑market territory.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Tablet/Palm device proficiency.
• Familiarity with QlikView (a plus).
