AI Engineer – Build End‑to‑End AI Agents

About the role

Numu is an AI‑driven growth platform for restaurants and retailers in the GCC. As an AI Engineer you will design, develop and ship intelligent agents that automate delivery‑channel management, diagnostics and optimisation for our clients. You will work closely with the founder and a small operations team to turn platform data into reliable, actionable AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end AI agents, from reasoning loops and tool integration to client‑facing deliverables.
• Build and maintain the context layer that provides brand, platform and market benchmark data for agents.
• Develop automated evaluation harnesses that test agent outputs against real and adversarial data.
• Define and enforce governance mechanisms such as memory limits, prompt‑injection defenses and data isolation.
• Create engineering processes, tooling and internal platforms that enable rapid, safe deployment of agents using AI‑assisted coding.

Required profile

• Strong computer‑science foundation with solid coding practices, data structures and algorithms.
• Deep understanding of neural networks, pattern recognition and modern machine‑learning models.
• Hands‑on experience applying NLP techniques to real‑world business data.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment and communicate clearly with cross‑functional stakeholders.
