Accounts Receivable Officer

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for managing client payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the sales and delivery teams to ensure cash flow stability. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update schedules of due bills and follow up on client accounts.
• Contact clients with overdue invoices by phone and professionally negotiate payment.
• Coordinate with sales and delivery teams to collect outstanding balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Receive cash, verify amounts, and ensure no discrepancies in handling.
• Maintain and clean aging reports, update client account histories, and enter receipts daily.
• Produce collection reports, manage post‑dated cheques and obligations lists.
• Report client results to the Internal Office Manager and flag difficult cases.
• Prepare daily activity reports for the supervisor.
• Keep updated records of customer registration, banking details, and balance confirmations.
• Adhere to the company’s Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001:2008 standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Result‑oriented, organized, and capable of effective negotiation and communication.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
