Accountant

About the role

Beet General Contractors SAL is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee its financial operations in Beirut. The role focuses on maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with Lebanese tax and labor regulations, and supporting daily accounting activities while working in a bilingual (Arabic & English) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial records and ensure compliance with Lebanese tax and labor laws.
• Handle daily accounting tasks including invoicing, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
• Ensure accurate tax computation, filing and compliance with VAT and withholding tax regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional accounting experience.
• Proficient in modern accounting software (ERP systems, cloud‑based platforms).
• Strong command of tax computation, filing and compliance.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to meet reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with local accounting software such as EasySoft and QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with Xero or Odoo platforms (a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese VAT and withholding tax regulations.
