Accountant – Fast‑Growing Fitness Tech Startup

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Accountant to manage our financial records, payments, receivables, commission structures, and support financial planning as we expand. You will report directly to the Founder and work closely with the Business Development and Operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records of all transactions, including payments, receivables, commissions, and expenses.
• Prepare and send invoices to clients such as venues and partners, and track payments.
• Record, categorize, and report operational expenses on a monthly basis.
• Assist in processing freelancer and employee salaries and payments promptly.
• Prepare basic reports for VAT declarations and assist external auditors if necessary.
• Ensure all bank transactions are properly matched with the accounting system.
• Suggest improvements in accounting practices, tools, and automation where possible.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in an accounting or finance position, preferably in startups or service companies.
• Solid understanding of Lebanese accounting standards and basic taxation (VAT, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, formulas) and basic accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently, proactively, and maintain confidentiality.
