Accountant – Africa (Onsite, Congo)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Accountant position supports our African entities from our office in Congo. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide insights that drive regional business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain general ledgers.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including financial statement preparation.
• Coordinate with local teams, external auditors, and ensure compliance with tax and reporting regulations.
• Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and deliver data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA is a plus.
• Strong foundation in financial accounting, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with multi‑country or African market operations preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Fluent English; additional regional languages are advantageous.
