About the role
Chedid Re, a subsidiary of Chedid Capital Group, is seeking a Junior Officer – Underwriting to support the Property line of business. The role involves assisting the underwriting team with risk assessment, policy documentation and coordination with brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse accounts, upload data to underwriting platforms and provide feedback to brokers.
- Maintain underwriting records, prepare files for audits and support external audit requirements.
- Assist in developing and updating underwriting guidelines and coordinate with underwriters.
- Prepare underwriting information for reinsurers and perform analysis on quoted risks.
- Generate reports, statistics and perform data entry tasks as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Insurance or a related field.
- 0‑2 years of experience in underwriting or a similar insurance role.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certificate is preferred.
