Utilities Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Facilities Management Department is seeking a Utilities Mechanical Technician to join the Physical Plant team at the Byblos Campus. The role involves operating, maintaining, and installing a wide range of mechanical utility systems while ensuring reliable service and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical utility equipment such as boilers, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and water treatment systems.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance programs for all assigned systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot control interfaces, including Building Management System (BMS) connections.
• Supervise outsourced contractors performing installation, maintenance, or repair work.
• Conduct fault analysis, implement corrective actions, and document maintenance activities.
• Manage consumables, filters, lubricants, and replacement parts.
• Prepare and review maintenance reports and maintain related documentation.

Required profile

• Technical Baccalaureate (BT3) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical utilities or plant maintenance.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and ability to use internet resources.
• Experience with BMS software for utilities control.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and lift/carry equipment as needed.
