Structural Design Engineer

About the role

Handasa Structures is seeking a qualified Structural Design Engineer to join its engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analysing post‑tensioned and reinforced concrete structures, ensuring compliance with international codes and delivering practical, efficient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyse post‑tensioned (PT) and reinforced concrete (RC) structures.
• Prepare structural calculations, design documentation, and detailed drawings.
• Develop efficient and practical structural solutions that meet project requirements.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Review structural drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, design principles, and load paths.
• Ability to work independently and manage design projects.
• Familiarity with relevant international design codes.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software is preferred.

Required skills

• Post‑tensioned (PT) structural design.
• Reinforced concrete (RC) design.
• Steel structural design (advantageous but not mandatory).
• Use of structural analysis and design software.
• Knowledge of international design codes.
