Skills and Employability Technical Officer

About the role

The International Labour Organization (ILO) is recruiting a Technical Officer to support the PROSPECTS partnership’s skills and employability pillar in Jordan and Lebanon. The role focuses on designing, implementing and monitoring skills‑development interventions for host‑community members and forcibly displaced persons.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and rollout of skills‑development programmes aligned with the PROSPECTS partnership objectives.
• Coordinate with partner organisations (IFC, UNHCR, UNICEF, World Bank) and local stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.
• Monitor and evaluate programme outcomes, preparing analytical reports and recommendations.
• Provide technical advice on labour‑market trends, employability pathways and protection issues.
• Contribute to capacity‑building activities for local partners and project staff.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, labour studies, development economics).
• Professional experience in skills development, employability programmes or related technical cooperation projects.
• Knowledge of labour‑market dynamics and forced‑displacement contexts.
• Ability to work in multicultural environments and collaborate with multiple international partners.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an asset.
