Senior Software Developer

About the role

SABIS Educational Services is hiring a Senior Software Developer in Adma, Lebanon, within its Information & Digital Technologies department. The role covers creating, documenting and maintaining high-quality software programs based on business requirements and technical specifications, so that customers receive adequate software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and validate business specifications to deliver a comprehensive solution.
• Develop software for SABIS products and applications using selected languages, following SABIS coding standards, development methodologies and release processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot technical problems during development to deliver reliable software.
• Document program development and code so that future amendments can be made easily.
• Write business scenarios, test them and report defects.
• Design and maintain database objects such as tables, columns, stored procedures and functions.
• Review the code of junior and intermediate developers.
• Identify risks during analysis and development and implement mitigation actions.
• Recommend improvements to existing software and write accurate documentation as requested.
• Perform other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Computing, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of experience in the field.
• English proficiency.
• Professional behaviour, ethical conduct, accountability, good communication skills and excellent technical problem-solving skills.
