Senior Regional Maintenance Manager, North America RME

About the role

Amazon’s North America Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team is seeking a Senior Regional Maintenance Manager to lead safety and reliability initiatives across its fulfillment network. The role focuses on championing workplace safety, maximizing equipment uptime, and optimizing operational costs while guiding field teams and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Champion safety standards and ensure team compliance across sites.
• Lead, mentor and expand a network of Facilities Managers throughout North America.
• Drive maintenance excellence through innovation, documentation, standardization and safety practices.
• Provide senior leadership with ROI‑based recommendations for equipment end‑of‑life decisions.
• Oversee budget development, execution and capital planning for maintenance programs.
• Manage vendor relationships and leverage economies of scale.
• Monitor and audit maintenance execution and safety practices across fulfillment centers.
• Coordinate maintenance teams, develop RFPs and purchase orders, and support General Managers in facilities management.
• Recruit, hire and build a world‑class facilities maintenance organization.
• Relocate as needed to meet Amazon’s business needs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 7+ years leading organizations of 100+ employees.
• 10+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience.
• 7+ years managing department spend, labor budgets, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or Reliability Engineering.
