Senior Contract Counsel – Legal Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Contract Counsel to join our client’s Center of Excellence in Beirut. The role involves providing expert legal guidance on a wide range of commercial agreements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate client, vendor, licensing, confidentiality and employment contracts.
• Ensure contracts are enforceable and comply with relevant regulations.
• Provide legal advice on contract‑related matters to internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct legal research and keep abreast of changes in contract law.
• Collaborate with the legal team to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Manage a high volume of agreements, prioritising tasks effectively.

Required profile

• LLB, JD or equivalent law degree.
• 5–8 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a law firm or in‑house setting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English; Arabic and French required, Spanish a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with legal project management tools.
• Experience using billing and time‑logging platforms such as Clio.
• Familiarity with AI‑based contract review tools.
