Senior Auditor

About the role

The Senior Auditor will lead audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio at Forvis Mazars in Beirut. This full‑time, on‑site position involves planning assignments, testing controls, and delivering high‑quality audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit assignments, including risk assessment and internal‑control evaluation.
• Perform substantive testing and ensure compliance with local and international auditing standards.
• Review and coach junior team members, maintaining accurate documentation and working papers.
• Prepare audit reports, discuss findings with clients, and recommend practical improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance audit methodologies.
• Support business‑development activities as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, IFRS and/or local GAAP, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience in leading audit engagements and risk assessment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Previous external audit experience, preferably in an international or regional professional services firm.
• High ethical standards, professional integrity and commitment to quality.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; French is an advantage.
