Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant – Shared Services Center

About the role

The Senior SSC – AR Accountant will join the Shared Services Centre’s Order to Cash team, providing expert support for accounts‑receivable processes. You will ensure accurate cash application, banking and factoring operations while also mentoring new joiners and junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cash and bank operations, including factoring activities and related reconciliations.
• Execute ING/BNP submissions, RIBA/Direct Debit uploads, and review bank/factoring balances during month‑end close.
• Reclassify factoring balances and perform periodic reviews of unallocated cash items.
• Conduct intercompany current‑account and loan balance reconciliations and support confirmation of balances with group entities.
• Maintain master data, update vendor lists quarterly, and perform e‑invoicing error checks.
• Resolve complex operational and technical issues, providing IT‑related support when needed.
• Support regional finance activities such as netting, withholding tax and other periodic tasks.
• Participate in finance and system projects, act as functional champion during migrations, and keep SOP documentation up to date.
• Serve as a buddy for onboarding, manage shared mailbox communications, and assist audit teams with documentation and reconciliations.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts‑receivable or related finance functions.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to train and mentor junior staff.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (or similar ERP systems).
