Senior SSC GL Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SSC GL Accountant to join our Finance Shared Services Center in Beirut. Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, you will own the end‑to‑end accounting for more than 30 legal entities across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Review and post journal entries in line with accounting guidelines.
• Record provisions, accruals and FX revaluations for vendors, customers, banks and GL accounts.
• Oversee fixed‑asset depreciation and bank reconciliations for subsidiaries.
• Reconcile vendor/customer balances and intercompany transactions, including loans.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on intercompany reconciliations.
• Manage monthly and yearly closing processes, ensuring KPI targets are met.
• Collaborate with local finance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365, testing set‑ups and reporting.
• Implement automation tools and continuously improve ERP usage.
• Assist with compliance reporting, audit processes and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Extensive experience in general ledger accounting within a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
