Senior Accountant (Lebanon)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our team in Lebanon. The role involves managing accounting operations, financial reporting, month‑end closing, and supervising junior accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily accounting and financial operations for assigned clients and businesses.
• Supervise junior accountants, review their work, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review reconciliations for suppliers, customers, banks, cash, and other accounts.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing procedures and produce financial statements.
• Analyze performance, identify variances, and provide explanations to management.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules and support payroll accounting entries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures and Lebanese tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, month‑end closing and Lebanese taxation.
• Proven ability to supervise and guide junior accountants.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax (advantageous).
