Senior Accountant

About the role

CIS Group, an ICT company in Jal El Dib, seeks an ambitious Senior Accountant to join its dynamic accounting team. The role involves overseeing accounting controls, financial reporting, and process improvements while collaborating with local accounting teams and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records in line with standards, policies and procedures.
• Lead month‑end closing, including entries, inventory valuations, reconciliations and gross‑margin verification.
• Review intercompany, bank and cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve balances promptly.
• Validate invoices, supporting documents and ledger classifications, and drive process improvements.
• Monitor VAT, social security, WHT and other tax filings for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain quality and integrity of records, ensuring internal controls are followed.
• Identify errors, control weaknesses and inefficiencies, coordinating corrective actions.
• Coordinate with local accounting teams and other departments to ensure timely, accurate transaction recording.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, month‑end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and independent work capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse, multicultural teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Financial data analysis.
• Experience with accounting systems / ERP (advantageous).
