Seasonal Telephone Operator – Front Office

About the role

The Telephone Operator supports the Front Office and Guest Services teams by handling all inbound and outbound calls for the hotel. This seasonal, full‑time position ensures guests receive friendly, efficient service in line with Kempinski and LQA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate extension courteously.
• Accurately record and deliver guest messages in a timely manner.
• Manage Do Not Disturb and confidential status requests.
• Process personal wake‑up calls and group/crew automatic wake‑up requests.
• Respond to guest inquiries, take appropriate actions, or forward to relevant departments.
• Serve as the communication centre during emergencies, handling all hotel communications.
• Maintain records of Domestic Direct Dial (DDD) and International Direct Dial (IDD) calls.
• Coordinate telephone charges with Front Office reception for guest billing.
• Monitor TV channels and public‑area music for proper operation.
• Keep telephone directory, staff changes, emergency procedures, promotions, and hotel product knowledge up to date.

Required profile

• Hospitality Management Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Administration, Tourism Management, etc.).
• Minimum one year of experience in a customer‑service oriented role.
• Excellent oral and written skills in the local language and good English proficiency.
• Strong listening, speaking, and writing abilities.
