Rural Enterprise Support Expert

About the role

Fondazione MICRA, in partnership with Italian and Lebanese organisations, seeks a Rural Enterprise Support Expert to contribute to the CARE project aimed at strengthening the agricultural ecosystem in the Beqaa and Mount Lebanon governorates.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field assessments on financial education and access‑to‑finance needs of agricultural businesses.
• Participate in designing a targeted survey to identify the needs of agricultural enterprises.
• Identify and select target beneficiaries for the project.
• Coordinate local enumerators during data‑collection surveys, ensuring data quality and timely completion.
• Perform regular field visits to businesses during beneficiary selection.
• Support data analysis and produce short reports on survey results.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, finance, management, agroeconomics, rural development or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in development cooperation projects.
• Understanding of financial inclusion dynamics in Lebanon and rural finance for entrepreneurship.
• Presence in the Beqaa region (at least 75% of the time) with occasional travel to Beirut for meetings.
