Retail Manager in Training (Salon Director) - Lebanon

About the role

Sun Tan City, one of the largest family-owned tanning salon chains in the country with around 250 salons in 25 states, is looking for a motivated leader to join its management team. The Salon Director in Training drives store performance, fosters superior client service and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. The role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants and leads by example in all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment
• Create a client-centric experience and meet personal sales expectations
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment
• Set clear goals and objectives for team members and coach, train and give feedback
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory and assist with other director functions
• Help control top-line revenue and expenses, and keep staffing levels balanced to control labor costs
• Work nights and weekends, in a 5-day week of about 35 to 45 hours depending on hourly or salary status

Required profile

• Management and/or sales experience required
• Beauty industry and/or customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, and team-building skills
• Ability to prioritize, delegate and solve problems in a fast-paced setting
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend to clean equipment, lift items and perform cleaning tasks

Required skills

• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to manage multiple situations at once
