Reinsurance Portfolio Manager – Property & Marine

About the role

Chedid Capital, a leading investment group in insurance and reinsurance, is seeking a Reinsurance Portfolio Manager to serve as the primary liaison for clients, partners, and affiliates. The role focuses on managing a diverse portfolio across all lines of business, with a strong technical emphasis on Property and Marine.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, introducers, and affiliates across all lines, especially Property and Marine.
• Analyse client activities, assets, and risk exposures, providing technical advice, proposals, policy wordings, and coverage comparisons.
• Manage placement of new business and renewals, coordinating with placement teams and affiliates to obtain quotes and finalize contracts.
• Present offers to clients, follow through to binding instructions, and ensure timely issuance of policies, endorsements, certificates, and invoices.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation in internal systems and SharePoint, meeting deadlines, KPIs, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Claims, Operations, and Business Development teams and support reporting, renewal tracking, and process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance, with strong general insurance background.
• Property and/or Marine experience strongly preferred; experience in African markets is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and French.
