Recruiting Intern

About the role

FWF is seeking a Recruiting Intern to join its talent acquisition team at the corporate office in Kentwood, MI. This on‑site internship offers hands‑on experience in sourcing, candidate engagement, and employer branding while representing the company at campus events.

Key responsibilities

• Source and engage candidates on LinkedIn, Handshake, and Indeed to build talent pipelines.
• Review resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and provide interview feedback.
• Assist with career‑fair logistics, including packing, scheduling, and coordinating team members.
• Represent FWF at career fairs, networking events, classroom presentations, and other campus recruiting activities.
• Build relationships with student organizations, professors, and career services to grow FWF’s campus presence.
• Share internship and full‑time opportunities through student groups and campus channels.
• Research campus events and partnerships that strengthen university recruiting efforts.
• Schedule interviews, organize resumes, and send follow‑up communications.
• Collaborate occasionally with the marketing team on recruiting content and employer‑branding ideas.
• Participate in special projects aimed at enhancing the candidate experience.

Required profile

• Self‑starter who can work independently and take initiative.
• Outgoing, approachable, and comfortable meeting new people.
• Active involvement on campus or a strong desire to engage with student organizations.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
• Pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on‑site in Kentwood, MI, with occasional in‑state travel.
