About the role
We are seeking a hands‑on Quality & Food Safety Lead to own the implementation of PawPots’ quality, food‑safety and operational‑control roadmap across Lebanon and the UAE. The role combines quality leadership with practical execution, turning newly designed systems, controls and procedures into sustainable day‑to‑day operations for our fresh pet‑food business.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and drive the quality and operational‑control implementation roadmap, defining owners, deadlines, risk escalation and closure of actions.
- Standardise production workflows, SOPs, batch records, product specifications, recipe versioning and change‑control processes.
- Build and verify daily quality controls covering receiving, storage, preparation, cooking, cooling, packing, labelling, freezing/chilled storage, hygiene, sanitation, deviations and product release.
- Strengthen supplier approval, raw‑material and packaging specifications, receiving verification, non‑conformance/CAPA and risk‑based testing in partnership with Procurement and Operations.
- Support regulatory, labelling and claims controls ensuring all product and material information is documented, approved, current and traceable.
- Work with Operations, IT/Odoo and external consultants to translate approved processes into digital requirements for master data, approvals, quality records, traceability and reporting.
- Train teams, build a food‑safety culture and lead the next‑stage GMP/PRP, HACCP, audit and certification‑readiness roadmap as the company scales.
Required profile
- Degree in Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Science or a related field.
- 4‑7 years of quality or food‑safety experience in food manufacturing; experience with fresh, chilled or ready‑to‑eat foods is a strong plus.
- Hands‑on experience implementing operational or quality systems such as SOPs, specifications, supplier controls, non‑conformities, audits or certification projects.
- Strong project ownership, cross‑functional communication, problem‑solving and attention to detail.
Required skills
- Practical knowledge of GMP/GHP, HACCP and food‑safety management systems (ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 or equivalent).
- Development and maintenance of SOPs, specifications and change‑control documentation.
- Supplier approval, receiving verification and CAPA processes.
- Experience with digital quality tools, master‑data management and traceability (e.g., Odoo).
- Audit preparation and certification‑readiness activities.
