Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

The Quality Assurance Engineer will independently plan, execute, automate, and document testing across web, mobile, backend APIs, integrations, and business workflows. You will own feature‑level quality from requirement analysis through release validation, ensuring reliable software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories, designs and API documentation to identify testing needs and quality risks.
• Design, maintain and execute manual test cases covering functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end scenarios.
• Develop, run and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile and API flows using approved frameworks.
• Perform comprehensive API testing (authentication, error handling, callbacks) and database validation with SQL queries.
• Log defects in Jira with detailed evidence, re‑test fixes and support release readiness through regression coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance, both manual and automation.
• Professional proficiency in English and the local language.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, Agile delivery and defect lifecycle.

Required skills

• API testing tools: Postman, Newman, REST Assured.
• Automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, pytest, JUnit, NUnit.
• SQL for database validation and data integrity checks.
• Basic CI/CD concepts and integration of automated tests into pipelines.
