Public Health Engineer Officer (South)

About the role

Oxfam is seeking a Public Health Engineer Officer to support emergency water, sanitation and hygiene (WaSH) programmes in South Lebanon. The role involves overseeing the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of water pump stations and WaSH facilities, ensuring they meet specifications and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the design, construction and rehabilitation of water and sanitation infrastructure in Saida, Tyre, Nabateih and surrounding areas.
• Coordinate with Oxfam’s WaSH partner organisations to build technical capacity and ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Monitor project progress, produce concise technical reports and propose solutions to emerging challenges.
• Participate in field assessments and ensure proper maintenance of completed facilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a site or office engineer in field projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams and work under pressure.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem‑solving and reporting.
