Project Manager - MEP Construction

About the role

Saccal Enterprises, a company specialising in mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) contracting, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from initiation through to successful completion and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project execution plans, baseline schedules, budgets, cash-flow forecasts, resource plans and key milestones.
• Lead and coordinate MEP activities and supervise engineers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, productivity, costs and profitability, identify deviations and implement recovery measures.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, authorities and other stakeholders on technical and operational issues.
• Review drawings, technical specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and approvals.
• Oversee procurement planning and material delivery schedules to avoid delays.
• Manage contractual obligations, variations, claims and extension-of-time requests.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, health and safety requirements and site procedures.
• Identify and mitigate schedule, cost, technical and resource risks.
• Prepare regular progress and financial performance reports.
• Manage project closeout, including snag-list clearance, as-built documentation, testing and commissioning records and client handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in MEP project management in construction or contracting.
• Proven track record delivering industrial, commercial or institutional MEP projects.
• Strong technical understanding of MEP systems.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors and deliver on time and within budget.

Required skills

• Project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, procurement coordination and contract administration.
• Leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
