Project Accountant (Remote)

About the role

KAIZEN Asset Management Services is seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to support its property management projects. This remote position involves overseeing project budgets, ensuring accurate financial recording, and providing analysis to keep projects financially sound.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project budget forecasts, actuals, and variance analyses.
• Monitor project expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
• Review and approve invoices, ensuring timely payment to suppliers and contractors.
• Prepare monthly financial reports on project performance for management review.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end financial closing processes.
• Collaborate with project managers to provide cost‑control insights and financial planning.
• Perform reconciliations of project accounts as needed.
• Support the senior finance team with ad‑hoc reporting and financial analysis.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project accounting or a similar finance role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to project management.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in real estate or property management is a plus.
