Product Specialist – Clinical Application (Ophthalmology)

About the role

The Clinical Application/Product Specialist provides clinical, technical and product support for an ophthalmology product portfolio. The role ensures healthcare professionals are trained on product use, supports demonstrations, installations, clinical evaluations and post‑sales follow‑up while collaborating closely with sales, marketing and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive clinical and application training to ophthalmologists, surgeons, nurses and technicians.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, wet labs and hands‑on training sessions.
• Support product installations, commissioning and provide clinical assistance during procedures.
• Assist sales and marketing in product launches, presentations and creation of clinical materials.
• Collect market feedback, maintain KOL relationships and report clinical activity.
• Act as primary contact for clinical inquiries, troubleshoot application issues and document customer feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Biology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ophthalmology as a clinical or product specialist.
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic products, technologies and procedures.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel frequently and work independently while being a team player.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
