Planning & Cost Control Engineer

About the role

Zerock is seeking a motivated Planning & Cost Control Engineer to join its Beirut office. The role supports construction projects across Africa, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget while coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multidisciplinary project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Review and update schedules as project requirements evolve and track performance.
• Assign resources and costs to optimise project execution.
• Review project documents, drawings and BOQ, assisting in quantity surveying.
• Monitor work progress, prepare accurate valuations and look‑ahead schedules.
• Participate in progress meetings and liaise with all project functions.
• Prepare and update budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and cost reports.
• Perform variance analysis, propose corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Maintain project controls documentation, including change order registers.
• Generate periodic client reports such as progress, cost, S‑curves and resource histograms.
• Assist in delay analysis and preparation of EOT claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in planning and cost control on construction projects.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts.
