About the role
The Patient Services Specialist will be the primary point of contact for patients, handling both inbound and outbound calls in English and Spanish. Working within myteem’s healthcare team, you will assist patients with appointments, medical information, and general inquiries while ensuring a compassionate and professional experience.
Key responsibilities
- Answer inbound patient calls regarding services, appointments, and general questions.
- Make outbound calls for appointment reminders, follow‑ups, and prior authorization requests.
- Collect and organize medical information to prepare accurate patient charts.
- Enter patient interaction data into electronic systems with precision.
- Assist patients in scheduling, obtaining records, and navigating healthcare procedures.
- Issue prior authorizations to insurance companies as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Required profile
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with a compassionate approach.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or customer‑service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Required skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems.
