Part-time Quality Control Officer for Primary Health Care

About the role

The Quality Control Officer will support the Health Program Coordinator in managing Quality Improvement Plans for primary health care centres across Beirut, the Bekaa and the North. Working part‑time, the officer ensures that services meet national and international quality standards and that patient safety issues are promptly addressed.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with PHCC staff to develop and update Quality Improvement Plans based on centre needs.
• Align and improve Standard Operating Procedures with Ministry of Public Health guidelines.
• Identify, document and escalate patient‑safety incidents, complaints, clinical gaps and infection‑control risks.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions and track progress against quality indicators.
• Analyse patient‑satisfaction surveys, address complaints and propose improvement measures.
• Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of all patient and quality‑monitoring data.
• Review clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure compliance with national and international standards.
• Supervise infection‑prevention, hygiene, triage, medical waste management and patient‑flow standards.
• Complete quarterly Performance‑Based Financing scoresheets and Quality Improvement Plans for each PHCC.

Required profile

• High level of independence and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organise work effectively.
• Capacity to make decisions within scope and discuss them with the Health Program Coordinator.
