Part-Time Accounting Assistant – Beirut Campus

About the role

The Finance Operations Department’s Payables & Disbursements Office at the Beirut campus is seeking a part‑time Accounting Assistant. Reporting to the Comptroller, you will support the accurate recording and reporting of university assets and project‑related financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accounting entries for assets and projects, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals and related invoices.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and assist with physical verification and reconciliation of assets.
• Monitor project expenditures, ensure proper classification, and perform regular reconciliations of asset and project accounts.
• Prepare supporting documentation for month‑end and year‑end closing activities and assist internal and external auditors.
• Coordinate with university departments on asset purchases, project spending and related accounting matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least one year of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong analytical, numerical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
