Machine Learning Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

Toters is building a fast‑growing on‑demand e‑commerce and delivery platform in the Middle East. We are looking for a hands‑on Machine Learning Engineer to join the Product Platform Engineering team and own the full lifecycle of production‑grade ML models that power quick‑commerce and fintech services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end‑to‑end ML pipelines using XGBoost, LightGBM, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Architect scalable training and inference systems for real‑time predictions.
• Lead cross‑functional ML initiatives, mentor engineers and drive AI strategy.
• Optimize models for demand forecasting, fraud detection and personalization.
• Apply MLOps best practices and collaborate with DevOps for seamless deployment.
• Process and analyse datasets larger than 10 TB using distributed computing frameworks.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building production ML systems at scale (supporting 100 K+ users).
• Deep expertise in gradient‑boosting algorithms such as XGBoost and LightGBM.
• Strong Python programming skills and solid knowledge of the ML stack (PyTorch, TensorFlow, NumPy, Scikit‑learn).
• Hands‑on experience with agentic AI systems and MCP frameworks.
• Proven track record of deploying models and implementing MLOps pipelines.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship abilities.
