Logistics Officer – South Lebanon

About the role

The Logistics Officer will support the South Area Office of NRC Lebanon by delivering timely and efficient logistical services. While the main focus is on procurement, the role may also involve warehouse and asset management as needed, ensuring compliance with NRC procedures, donor guidelines, and Lebanese regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist staff with procurement procedures, policies, and required documentation.
• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and conduct market surveys when required.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports and ensure proper filing and archiving of documents.
• Manage assigned procurements through the full cycle: requisition, solicitation, quotation analysis, evaluation, award, contracting, delivery, payment, and closure.
• Track requisitions and procurements using NRC tools, monitor progress, and address delays or issues.
• Prepare requests for quotations, analyse offers, draft bid analysis documents, and support the Procurement Committee or Budget Holder.
• Draft contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement-related documents while ensuring transparency and compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or logistics within a humanitarian or development context.
• Familiarity with donor requirements, NRC logistics procedures, and Lebanese regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under supervision of the Support Manager.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement cycles and documentation.
• Ability to conduct market surveys and supplier assessments.
• Proficiency in preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
