Junior Cloud Engineer

About the role

kloudr is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to join its Operations team. You will support the day‑to‑day management of multi‑cloud client environments on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, handling first‑line tickets, monitoring and routine tasks while gaining experience toward full ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor client cloud environments and respond to Level 1/2 support tickets and alerts.
• Perform routine operational tasks such as backups, patching, basic troubleshooting, access management and configuration changes under supervision.
• Assist with cost and performance optimization work.
• Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks and ticket records.
• Escalate complex issues to Cloud Architects and follow through to resolution.
• Learn and apply basic automation and scripting (Python, Bash) to reduce manual work.
• Support the Cloud Architect team with client requests following established SOPs.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a cloud‑related internship/training.
• Foundational knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP); hands‑on labs or coursework acceptable.
• Basic exposure to scripting (Python or Bash) is a plus.
• Understanding of core networking and Linux/Windows administration fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and genuine interest in multi‑cloud environments.
• Good spoken and written English; French or Arabic is an advantage.
• A cloud fundamentals or associate‑level certification is a plus, not required.
