Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead HR operations for HAND, an NGO focused on child protection and development in crisis‑affected areas. Based on‑site in Bar Elias, Lebanon, the role ensures that HR practices support the organization’s mission and values.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee‑relations processes.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies in line with Lebanese labour law and organisational standards.
• Maintain accurate HR records and coordinate payroll and benefits together with the finance team.
• Address workplace issues fairly and transparently.
• Partner with programme leaders and senior management to align HR initiatives with HAND’s humanitarian objectives.
• Design and deliver staff training and capacity‑building programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in core HR functions, preferably within the NGO or humanitarian sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field; HR certification is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Arabic with strong written and reporting skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Bar Elias, manage multiple priorities and uphold confidentiality.
