HR Generalist

About the role

Join SCHOTT Pharma as an HR Generalist and become the first point of contact for employee matters. You will support managers and staff across a range of HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Foster strong working relationships between employees and the HR department.
• Provide guidance to managers, supervisors and employees on employee‑relations issues.
• Maintain accurate employee files, documenting changes in compensation, position, benefits, training and disciplinary actions.
• Initiate personnel action forms (PAFs) and keep HR SAP and Org‑Management data up to date.
• Handle hiring, staffing, benefits administration, new‑hire orientation, absenteeism monitoring and time‑keeping.
• Support FMLA, short‑term disability and workers’ compensation processes.
• Manage payroll tasks and payroll system operations.
• Coordinate site employee activities and drive continuous improvement of HR policies.
• Support safety/EHS directives and ensure a clean, compliant workspace.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum three years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state labor laws.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using SAP for HR processes.
• Familiarity with KRONOS time‑keeping system.
