Health Officer – Emergency Response

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Health Officer to support emergency health response activities in Beirut. The role involves field monitoring, coordination with health partners, and ensuring that health interventions align with IRC standards and Ministry of Public Health protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and follow‑up of emergency health activities in targeted areas.
• Conduct regular field visits to primary health care centers, shelters, and community sites.
• Monitor day‑to‑day partner‑led activities, outreach services, and mobile health interventions.
• Track indicators, compile partner reports, and maintain accurate documentation of activities and referrals.
• Coordinate with PHCCs, local partners, municipalities, and IRC departments (Health, Protection, Supply Chain, MEAL).
• Participate in coordination meetings and field coordination activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in health program implementation, preferably in emergency or humanitarian settings.
• Experience working with NGOs or community‑based health interventions.
• Ability to identify operational challenges and escalate issues appropriately.
