Head of Power Department

About the role

We are seeking a visionary leader to head our Power Department at ICC Group’s headquarters in Beirut. The role will steer the technical, engineering and commercial direction of a multi‑country portfolio covering conventional and renewable power generation, substations and distribution networks.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the full EPC lifecycle for power generation plants, substations and HV/MV/LV networks, ensuring compliance with international codes.
• Lead technical negotiations with OEMs, international partners and lenders, providing strategic advice to senior management.
• Own pricing, cost modelling and bid preparation for power tenders, driving commercial strategy while protecting margins.
• Negotiate joint‑venture and consortium arrangements, assessing partner capabilities and defining scope splits.
• Manage and develop a team of roughly 20 electrical and power engineers, allocating resources across simultaneous projects in several countries.
• Monitor project progress, budgets and schedules remotely, with travel to sites as required.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in power EPC projects across multiple regions.
• Deep technical expertise in conventional and renewable power generation, substations and distribution networks.
• Strong commercial acumen in cost estimation, bid strategy and margin protection.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate with international partners, OEMs and joint‑venture partners.
• Excellent managerial skills to lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
